Edo man sets ablaze after gunning down brother in tussle over family inheritance

A protracted tussle over Rasheed family’s inheritance has consumed two brothers identified as Braimah Rasheed and Odion Braimah in Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State.

Odion, was reportedly set ablaze by mob in retaliation for shooting his elder brother, Braimah dead in an ambush after he had been brainwashed by a seer traced their family’s ordeal to Braimah.

Braimah, was a lecturer at Auchi Polytechnic, was on his way to a funeral in solo street in Iyekhei quarters in the Local Government Area.

It was gathered that brave youths in the Community, apprehended Odion while attempting to flee after committing the crime, beat up the Odion and thereafter set him ablaze, amid outrage.

The younger brother, had decried the lackluster approach by Braimah towards the plight of their third sibling who has being in prison abroad, according to close family associates who are yet to recover from the shock.

The deceased lecturer had been buried in according to his family, which also said the Department of the Nigeria Police Command in Edo State has launched investigation into the heinous crime.
