Officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps have evacuated bodies of road accident victims who lost their lives in Anambra multiple road accident, late Tuesday.
The tragedy struck when a truck a 40-feet container ladden with mental scrap, fell on a shuttle bus, tricycles and pedestrians at the Idemili bridge, near Oba, in Idemili South Local Government Area of the State.
Margaret Onabe, spokesperson for the agency, who confirmed the incident in a statement, blamed the accident on break failure by the truck driver while descending a hill, causing hom to lose control and crashed into the shuttle bus, tricycles and other vehicles.
Some witnesses stated some passengers and bystanders waiting to board tricycles and shuttle buses, at the junction were trapped underneath the container at the scene.
