Driver, apprentice burnt to death in Oyo tanker fire

Two persons lost their lives in a tanker explosion that occured at the Orita Challenge outlet of GABSTAB Petrol station in Ibadan on Tuesday morning.

Mr Yemi Akinyinka, the General Manager, Oyo State Fire Services Agency disclosed this in a statement.

He revealed that a petrol tanker driver and his apprentice lost their lives during the incident.

Akinyinka stated that the fire, which had been controlled, burnt the victims to death.

“We got information about the GABSTAB Mega Petrol Station, Orita Challenge, fire incident at 5.15 a.m. and deployed our men immediately.

“The driver and motor boy were burnt to death,” according to him.
