Kwara police trail Miyetti Allah leader’s assailants

 

The police Command in Kwara State operatives are trailing assailants of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria in the State Alhaji Idris Abubakar Sakaina, who was shot dead on Saturday in front of his residence at Oke Ose, Ilorin East Local Government Area.

The Command’s spokesman, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, confirmed the incident in a statement, Sunday, stating that police detectives responded swiftly and recovered five expended 7.62mm shells, while the remains of the 32-year-old man
have been deposited at “UITH Mortuary”.

“The State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) has commenced a full investigation. CP Victor Olaiya.

He also assured that “the perpetrators will be brought to justice and urges the public to remain calm and provide useful information”.

AbdulAzeez Muhammed state secretary MACBAN Kwara State, also confirmed the incident on Sunday in a Press statement.

He stated that Janaza (funeral prayer) took place on Sunday at 10:00 AM in Zango, Ilorin, Kwara State, and prayed Allah to grant him mercy, forgive his shortcomings as well as admit him into Aljannah Firdausi.

“May Allah grant him aljanatul firdauz and give his family the fortitude to bear the lost”, according to him.
