Traders around Butcher, Bamawo, Jegede, Ugbague, Omo, Lagos streets and environs in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State closed their businesses on Friday, in honour of Chief, Saka Usula, the Arala Osula of Benin funeral.

The Septuagenarian, died in May 2022 who transited after a brief illness, is survived by 120 Children and several great grand Children.

Usula, the Benin musician with the largest family band, had several music albums to his credit way back in 1970’s.

Renowned for his ‘Omwanagbon’ (somebody) music track, Osula, with a class as one of the most travelled artist.

His family had got Oba palace approval to commence his funeral in accordance to Benin Customs and tradition.

But the 14-Day burial arrangements for his his burial, was delayed for several months until his eldest son returned from Europe.

He was one of the musicians who performed during the declaration of late Bashir Tofa, Candidate of NRC in 1993 Presidential election which was annulled by the former Head of states, General Ibrahim Babangida (Rted) in Edo State.

Several musicians under the aegis of Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN) are set to thrill guests at the funeral Ceremony of song writer and producer at his residence in Lagos street.
