Shun acrobatic display, police warn fun-seekers at Sallah

The Nigeria Police Command in Kwara State has assured of residents of the State of adequate security arrangements towards a hitch-free and enjoyable Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.

It however cautioned fun-seekers in Kwara State to celebrate moderately, shun acts of criminality, warning that the law enforcement agency will not tolerate acrobatic displays by motorcycle and tricycle operators, especially to safeguard the lives of other road users.

SP Okasanmi Ajayi, the Command’s spokesman who disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, noted that all sections and departments in the command have been activated and deployed accordingly.

The Command also advised residents of the State to obey all traffic arrangements, including diversion of roads when necessary.

The statement partly reads, “To this end, all sections and departments in the command have been activated and deployed accordingly.

“The good people of Kwara State are advised to celebrate moderately, shun any act of criminality, obey all traffic arrangements, including diversion of roads when necessary, and not tolerate acrobatic displays by motorcycle and tricycle operators, especially to safeguard the lives of other road users”, SP. Ajayi said.
