Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai has Nigerian Army officers across the various formations in Nigeria to a training workshop.
The maiden Commanding officers’/Transformational leadership workshop, is geared towards improving leadership qualities of top military brass led by Lt. Gen Faruk Yahaya (the Chief of Army Staff).
The State Governor who declared the Ceremony held at Headquarters 1 Division in the State, opened on Monday. said the workshop could not have come at a better time than now as we all know the the current security challenges facing the our dear nation.
The Governor who was represented by Mr Samuel Aruwan, Commissioner for Internal Security and home affairs at the Ceremony, enjoined participants to take every presentation, discussion, criticism and solution proffered to further improve professionalism in their units for effective counter terrorism and counter insurgency operations.
The Commanding Officers’/ Transformational Leadership Workshop are both routine training packages in the Nigerian Army.
Accordingly, the engagement is designed to improve the role of Commanding Officers in enhancing the combat readiness of their units to confront contemporary security challenges in Nigeria.
The one-day event targeted at improving the leadership values and effectiveness of junior Commanders/Personnel of the Nigerian Army.
