Three persons suspected to be students of Auchi Polytechnic in Edo State have been allegedly feared killed in cult-related clashes by rival cult groups.

The victims were said to have been brought down by their attackers in what some students speculated to a cult related war at Campus two gate on Wednesday morning.

A sketchy details of Wednesday’s gun attacks which happened at Campus two gate, have being trending on social Media with starring comments by some students of the school in Etsako West Local government Area of State.

A lecturer in the University in the institution who confirmed the incident, said the Campus has been tensed since the incident occurred.

He said, “Cult related clashes have become a coming trends among young students on Campus in attempts to outsmart one another”.

Efforts to obtain comments from the spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Command in Edo State, SP. Chidi Nwabuzor on incident, were unsuccessful.

The police image maker was yet to take calls put to his mobile number that rang-out unanswered nor respond to a text message, sent to him by our Reporter as at the time of filing this report.

A statement from the Management of the federal government-owned tertiary institution is being awaited.
