Police have evacuated body of a roadside Vulcanizer known as Boyo who was reportedly shot dead by a ruthless assailants on Warrake Road, Auchi, Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State on May 2, 2025.
The motive behind the alleged murder of the victim — in his late 20’s by suspected assailants who rode on a motorcycle, is yet-to-be ascertained.
CSP Moses Yamu, the spokesman for the Nigeria police Command in Edo State, called for information that will lead to the arrest and prosecution of the culprits behind the act.
He revealed that police got report of Boyo’s death on Friday and that a manhunt for the assailants was underway.
The police Image maker said, “We got the report yesterday, but the assailants, who were on a motorcycle, had already escaped. The victim was confirmed dead at the hospital.
He said, “A manhunt for the assailants is in progress, and the Commissioner of Police, Monday Agbonika, has warned that no one involved in this mayhem will be spared”, he him.
Terrified Community elders in the area are calling for a complete overhaul of security architecture in the area.
TheNewspad recalls that a popular Cleric, Apostle Johnson Suleiman got a close with death at Warrake axis in Auchi in the hands of assailants who murdered at least three security agents attached to his convoy, leaving other aides wounded few years ago.
