Police interrogate CEOs for cryptocurrency fraud

Operatives of the Nigeria have interrogated four Chief Executive officers (CEOs) over cryptocurrency fraud related complaints levied against them.

Force Public Relations officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who confirmed this on Tuesday, said the companies are BLORD GROUP, BLORD REAL ESTATE LTD, BLORD JETPAYE LIMITED, and BILLPOINT TECHNOLOGY.

The statement gave the name of one of the suspects as Linus Williams, but failed to name other suspects linked to alleged fraud.

“The FCID (NPF-NCCC) is currently investigating complaints lodged against BLORD GROUP, BLORD REAL ESTATE LTD, BLORD JETPAYE LIMITED, and BILLPOINT TECHNOLOGY. These offences include allegations bothering on cryptocurrency fraud, aiding internet fraud, computer-related fraud, terrorism funding, and non-compliance with regulatory frameworks”, he said.

ACP Adejobi assured that police will do due diligence in its investigations by ensuring that cyber space in Nigeria is safe and secured by all means.
