Nigerians happy with Tinubu’s govt, says Wike

Date:

The minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike has declared that Nigerians are happy with President Bola Tinubu-led federal government in Nigeria, brushing aside the economic hardship.

He said this during his visit to the national headquarters of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP national headquarters on Friday in the nation’s Capital where he assured members loyal to Abdulrahman Mohammed-led faction of the party not to be weary of the ongoing leadership dispute case in court.

The FCT minister stated that the administration is providing what Nigerians needs, contrary to false narratives by opposition figures ahead of 2027 general elections.

According to him, “Whatever opposition figures want is not our business. Our business is that we are providing what Nigerians need. Nigerians are happy with what we are doing”.

Continuing, Wike said, “I will not be surprise if he (Atiku) says Tinubu’s government has archived something. He is a serial opposition person. There is nothing that he can do about that.

Referencing the recent interview granted by former Vice President Abubakar Atiku on a Satellite television, Wike berated Abubakar, describing him as a serial contestant and serial loser in elections.

He said he would encourage him to continue to contest future Nigeria elections, including the 2031 polls when he would have clocked 82 years.

“I read read that he (Atiku) said he is more popular than Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. He also said he is more popular than Nasir El-Rufai and Aminu Tambuwal. And you can imagine that”, according to Wike insisting that Atiku is the one “trying to seed of discord in his political party”.
