The party also discribed the press reportage as accurate, adding that ‘”it’s expected to be appreciated”.

Chairman of LP in the State, Comrade Lucky Ogbaloi disclosed this after a meeting of it’s State Working Committee (SWC) in Benin City.

He said: “if the press had done otherwise, it would have been a challenge” and expressed optimism that the LP would win the forthcoming polls.

Ogbaloi said the SWC expressed concern over matters of opposition paties whom he alleged have perfected plans to disrupt voting where there are indications that LP would win.

According to him, “we are specifically calling our people and supporters to be level headed as we go into the poll on Saturday. You make be provoked; but be slow to anger.

“We are also using this medium to inform the law enforcement agents that this information is very rife.

“They (security) should take firm notice of this and ensure that we are protected as a party.

“The operatives should also ensure that miscreants are kept away from voting arena and those who are planning it are even now arrested and kept behind bars now, during and after the election”, Ogbaloi said.
