Grandma roasts child who ate her noodles in Edo

A grandmother has allegedly burnt her grand child accuse of consuming cooked noodles without her permission when she became hungry without her consent in Edo State.

Angered by the action, the yet-to-be named grandmother placed the domestic abuse victim’s hands on a gas stove and set it on fire as her punishment for disobedience, thereby inflicting life-threatening injury on her body.

A concerned neighbour reported the case of extreme violence against the child by her Guardian, leading to the arrest of the suspect by operatives of the Police Command in Edo State.

Her arrest was facilitated by officials in the State Ministry of Women Affair who swung into action and rescued the child of about four-year-old from the residence of the heartless custodian.

TheNewspad reports that the victim has been admitted to the Accident and Emergency Unit of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital where he is undertaking urgent medical attention.

The action of the sexagenarian has turned instant social media rave among netizens who are calling for the prosecution of the criminal suspect by the State government.
