A team of lawyers secured the bail for Tenebe and accomplice, Akeem Zibiri, a retired officer of the NDLEA linked to the scandal in Etsako West Local Government Area of the State, ahead of Saturday March 18, state house of Assembly polls.

Tenebe, was said to have led some thugs to the INEC office in Etsako West where they were apprehended by the police operatives, according to sources.

TheNewspad reports that the suspects were taken to the police headquarters in Benin City, where they were grilled and had their statements obtained under caution.

The Command’s spokesman, SP. Chidi Nwabuzor, declined comments on the arrest of the two APC Chieftains.

But, Tenebe’s release from police custody on Thursday afternoon, sparked jubilation among APC members and supporters in the State, shortly after members of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its supporters caused a media stunt with their arrest.

Ahead of their reappearance at the police headquarters in Edo State, Mr Peter Uwadiae, the Publicity Secretary of the party confirmed the release of the suspects from custody in widely circulated terse statement on Thursday.
