PDP leaders throw punches at BoT meeting

Some leaders of Peoples Democratic Party threw punches at each other at the ongoing closed doors meeting of the party’s Board of Trustees (BoT) to decide the position of its national Secretary.

According to TheCable reports that altercation began when Sunday Ude-Okoye, a party chieftain, was denied access to the meeting.

TheNewspad recalls the meeting was called to resolve leadership crises that have engulfed Nigeria main opposition party ahead of 2027 general election.

Fight reportedly broke out shortly Adolphus Wabara, PDP BoT Chairman and former Senate President, officially opened the meeting at 12:05 p.m.

The atmosphere became tense, when Anyanwu and Ude-Okoye stormed the venue of the meeting where loyalists of the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike and former Vice President Abubakar Atiku are expected to test their popularity.
