Nigerians are expressing displeasure over the public threat issued by Governor Monday Okpebholo’s hype man, popular known as ‘Egogo’ to attack opposition figures, including Peter Obi, former Presidential Candidate of the Labour party in 2023 election of they step their feet into Edo State, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The Governor’s aide on Town crier, made the comments in the presence of the Commissioner of Police in Edo State, CP Monday Agbonika who was amongst dignitaries awaiting the arrival of President Bola Tinubu son, Seyi, and coordinator of the City Boys movement at the arrival hall of the Benin airport on Thursday.
In a viral video, Egogo began to stoke the hornet nest when. He walked up the CP Agbonika and pledged his loyalty, stating that he and his Principal bears ‘Monday’ they are doing white jobs well.
“CP, I am loyal to you. When we catch ADC, when we catch APC people, we will handover them to you – straight to Abuja. People like Obi, that idiot”, Egogo said, while the CP smiled and maintained his cool.
TheNewspad reports that the alleged inaction by the Commissioner of police, who look on when ‘Egogo’ issued the threat, while onlookers cringed, is being criticized by netizens on the internet for seemingly not having the bandwidth to order his arrest as expected, is stirring backlash online.

This is a direct threats to ADC and the person of Obi in the presence of the Edo state CP. Imagine the CP smiling at this nuisance threatening opposition.
“Is it not obvious with his statement that this nuisance and his cohorts orchestrated the att@cks on Obi in Edo state? This guy should be called for questioning. ADC has become the Headache of this government.

In another video, Egogo, upon sighting Seyi, driving a luxury bus after he alighted from his aircraft, he ran after him saying, “I too believe you. Your father is working. It’s your father’s legacy Akpakomiza is learning.
