POWA gives lifeline to 60 officers’ widows in Ogun

President of Police officers Wives Association, Mrs Elizabeth Egbetokun has empowered 60 police officers widows in Ogun State with livelihood support skills and starter packs.

She made the presentation during a two-day familiarization tour across the six geo-political zones in Nigeria, including the Nigeria Police Command in the State.

The beneficiaries got deep freezers, sowing and pepper/tomatoes grating machines, hair dryers and make up kits in addition to other police widows who acquired ‘stone clothing’ skills.

The IGP wife was received by the Chairperson of POWA in the State and wife of the State Commissioner of Police, Mrs Oluwakemi Ganiyat Alamutu and members of her State executives during the visit.
