The Olu of Warri Kingdom in Delta State, HRM Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR, has responded to police invitation in a murder case, reported at the Warri Area Command in Delta State vide a petition.
TheNewspad cited the acknowledged copy of the document shared by on social Media, titled: “Police Invitation Letter
Re: A case of Attempted murder, Assault, Occasioning harm, Malicious damage and Conduct likely to cause breach of Peace”.
On March 11th invitation letter in response to a petition dated 13th March 2024, was signed by Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP. M. F. Abubakar, Warri Area Commander.
Part of the invitation letter reads, “This office is investigating the aforementioned case reported at the Area Command Headquarters, Warri, sequel to a petition dated 11th March 2024”.
The letter also said, “With due respect, your Majesty, it is requested with high esteem for you to have a meeting with rhe Area Commander on Wednesday 13th of March 2024, by 10am Prompt.
“Your usual cooperation and response to thelis invitation will be highly honoured, please”, according to the letter.
The invitation letter has gone viral on the Internet, has raised a spectre of reactions by Nigerians and Royal fans who have either applauded or criticized the move the police.
