Obi, Lamido meet behind closed doors in Jigawa

Labour Party Candidate in the 2023 Presidential election, Mr Peter Obi and Sule Lamido, former governor of Jigawa State on Monday May 23, 2024 met behind closed doors.

Mansur Ahmed, the
New Media aide to Mr Lamido in a statement, published on social Media, said the meeting held at Lamido’s residence in Abuja,
lasted for about 2 hours.

TheNewspad reports that Obi, came third behind Atiku Abubakar, PDP Candidate in the election, and President Bola Tinubu, the winner of the election.

He has also been speculated to have thrown his weight behind a proposed merger to oust the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC government in 2027 general elections.
