Man kills lover for infecting him with HIV

Nigeria police Command in Ogun State has arrested a murder suspect, ThankGod Taiwo who hails from Oluke area of Ijoko in the State over the murder of his lover, Blessing Onwora and abduction.

The tragedy occured on December 23rd 2024, after the relationship between the duo has gone soured after 35-year-old Taiwo, publicly accuse Onwora of infecting him with Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), a virus that attacks the body’s immune system.

The duo had unprotected sex repeatedly when they lived together as husband and wife since March 2024, according to police investigation.

Addressing journalists at the Police Headquarters in the State, CP Lanre Ogunlowo, said the suspect in conivance with other kidnap suspects (now in police net), allegedly strangled Onworo to death with a piece of cloth.

Police said Taiwo who is member of a notorious kidnap syndicate that thereafter trafficked and sold the Child the 28-year-old woman had with him for the sum of N3 million after the prime suspect tested positive to the virus before his arrest.

Susan Aforke Ubiomoh reported complaint to police that led to the arrest of the suspects
who will have their date in court when the ongoing investigations are concluded, according to Commissioner of police.
