The chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Egor Local government Area, Mr Emmanuel Iyase has returned a Toyota Sienna car he received as a gift from former House of Representatives aspirant for Ikpoba-Okha/ Egor federal Constituency, Mr Pius Alile.
whose wife is the national women Leader of the ruling party in Nigeria.
Iyase said in a group WhatsApp message to Alile on APC support forum that his decision to return the fairly used gold colour vehicle, which was given to him shortly before the 2023 general elections, followed his alleged refusal to endorse a frontline APC governorship aspirant from Egor Local government Area where Alile who is backing the aspiration of another aspirant from Edo South Senatorial District.
But Alile insisted that that he never demanded for the vehicle, which was used to nurture his political ambition, which suffered setback after he lost the 2023 APC Ikpoba-Okha/Egor House of Representatives ticket to a former House of Assembly member of Edo State House of Assembly, Crosby Eribo who was defeated in the election by Hon. Omoruyi Murphy Osaro of Labour Party, LP.

The political disagreement has polarized APC members in Edo South Senatorial District, ahead of the primary election of the party in the State slated for February 17, 2024.
The race for the APC governorship ticket is becoming intense horse-trading among aspirants gunning for the governorship seat and political actors led by Senator Adams Oshiomhole, the Senator representing Edo North Senatorial District, as well as their supporters who are looking up to the national leadership of the party alongside President Bola Tinubu a fair deal.
