A hit-and-run commercial bus driver fleeing arrest by security agents has reportedly crippled a woman in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State, leaving the victim in a critical condition.

TheNewspad investigation revealed that the vehicle whose registration number could not be immediately verified aat the time of incident, ploughed through
the crowded area and destroyed goods.

It was also learnt that officials of Public Works Volunteer (PUWOV) racing without caution behind a driver in their operational vehicle, quickly beat retreat after the driver made a U-turn and crushed the woman.

Witnesses said the fleeing driver was previously booked for committing a traffic offence at the King square by PUWOV which declined comments on the incident.

It was learnt that the dark in complexion accident victim whose blood along with her body parts littered the tarred road, was said to be in late 30’s.
