8 declared wanted for soldiers murder in Delta

The Nigerian Army has declared eight persons wanted in connection with the murder of 13 soldiers and four officers in Okuoma Community, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.

The notice comes barely 24 hours after the bodies of the personnel were buried at the military Cemetery, Abuja and bestowed post humous awards by the federal government.

A mugshot portrait of the eight suspects, including a female released by the Nigerian Army on Thursday March 28, 2024, however did not give their details of their offences.

The suspects are Akevwru Daniel Omotegbono also known as Amagbem and Prof. Ekpokpo Arthur.

Others are Andawei Dennis Bakriri, Igoli Ebi, Reuben Baru, Akata Malawa David and Simclear Oliki as well as Clement Ikolo Oghenerukvwe.

TheNewspad recalls that 17 Army personnel attached to the 181 Amphibious Battalion of 63 Brigade, Nigerian Army on a peace mission when they were ambushed and killed by irate youths on March 14, 2024 in a communal clash with Okolo Community in the State.
