Bribe-seeking Constabularies arrested for harassing Dutch rider

Two Special Constabularies who were caught in a viral video demanding for a bribe from a Dutch female motorcyclist at Ojongbodu area on Iseyin/Ogbomosho road in Oyo State have been arrested by the Nigeria police.

Force spokesmen, deputy Commissioner, CP. Muyiwa Adejobi
said in a statement that the duo was arrested by the police authority for their unprofessional, unacceptable, and punishable acts.

He said Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, CP Adebola Ayinde Hamzat, has instituted a disciplinary procedure on the case immediately.

The police authority, condemned the act and ordered that the men and their supervising Divisional Police officer be sanctioned accordingly.

Such unprofessional act of misconduct would never be tolerated in any manner, according to the statement, also assured that the Force would intensify efforts in commencing the reorientation programme initiated by the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun.
