Police authorities have identified some police officers involve in alleged act of extortion in Osi-Eruku road in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The Commissioner of Police in the State, CP Adekimi Ojo has ordered an immediate and thorough investigation into the incident.
The spokesman of the police Command in the State, SP Adetoun Ejire-adeyemi said on Tuesday in a statement in response to a video footage circulating on social media where the act earlier emerged.
SP Ejire-adeyemi also revealed that “the officers involved have been identified; if found guilty, appropriate disciplinary action will be taken”.
The Command remains committed to upholding professionalism, integrity, and accountability in all its operations”, he assured.
