UNIBEN VC loses husband

Prof. Charles Salami, husband of the Vice Chancellor, University of Benin, Prof. Lilian Salami, is dead.

He died on Sunday October 29, 2023. But, the cause of his death is unknown.

A University source who confirmed the incident to TheNewspad Correspondent on Wednesday November 8, 2023.

“Yes. He (Salami) is dead. She had all her Children with him. He died on Sunday October 29, 2023”, the University source said.

A family member, Sylvanus Salami who also confirmed the death of the late erudite scholar in a social media post wrote: “I’ve kept the tears in for so long that i don’t really remember how to cry anymore. Rest on Prof Charles J. Salami”.

In October last year, late Salami wife, attended their son, Mr Amen wedding ceremony of their son, Amen and his heartthrob, Oyenkachukwu.

The marriage was consummated at the Salvation Baptist Church in Edjeba, Warri, Delta State.

The family of the departed Patriarch is yet to release a statement.
