UNIBEN arrests suspected ‘job scammers, fraudsters on Campus

The Management of University of Benin (UNIBEN) says some suspected job scammers and fraudsters arrested by security agents on Campus are undergoing interrogation.

Dr. Benedicta Ehanire, the Public Relations officer (PRO) of the University in a statement, said that there is no recruitment for jobs going on in the institution.

The University has neither authorised anyone to collect money in oder to procure jobs nor re-locate new students to their preferred courses, according to the PRO.

She also explained that “some culprits have been identified and are being interrogated on their fraudulent dealings”.

The institution on behalf of its Management, warned that “anyone who falls victim of the various scams does so at his or her own risk”.
