The awful moment began to unfold before the presidential Candidate arrived the Alex Ekwueme square in Awka at  3.34 pm. on Tuesday.

It was gathered that the two term former governor of Lagos State, hurriedly addressed members of his political party and supporters before he left for Calabar in Cross River State.

The red cap traditional rulers who travelled several kilometers to the Anambra State government House to welcome the presidential hopeful, arrived the Government House at about 10am, ahead of the 11am that was scheduled for the meeting.

TheNewspad reports that their hopes were however dashed after waiting till 4pm to no avail before learned that Jagaban of Lagos has left for Calabar Akwa Ibom State campaigning shortly after some the traditional rulers who slept off, woke up.

Peeved by the embarrassment, the traditional rulers who remained stony faced and mutter words in amazement before they left in droves without saying goodbye to anyone.

Investigation by our Correspondent further revealed that due to his tight schedule, the presidential hopeful could not pay courtesy call on the governor of Anambra State, Chukwuma Soludo who  also waited for him till the close of work.

A dependable source close to the Anambra State APC secretariat told our Correspondent that the APC presidential Candidate was advised to immediately move to the venue of the rally where party faithful and supporters had waited for hours before departed to their respective Local Government Areas, apparently not to be caught in the web of criminal gangs in the region.
