Tinubu appoints 7-member Board of SEC

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of the following Nigerian professionals to the Board of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC):

Ajuri Ngelale on Friday
in a statement listed Mr. Mairiga Aliyu Katuka as Chairman of the Board, while Mr. Emomotimi Agama is Director-General of SEC.

Frana Chukwuogor was named Executive Commissioner (Legal and Enforcement) alongside Mr. Bola Ajomale who is the Executive Commissioner (Operations), while Mrs. Samiya Hassan Usman is the Executive Commissioner (Corporate Services) and Mr. Lekan Belo who is the Non-Executive Commissioner of SEC where Mr. Kasimu Garba Kurfi will serve as a Non-Executive Commissioner.

Ngelale said the President anticipates that all members of the Board of this critical commission will bring to bear their wealth of experience and competence in advancing the commission’s core mandate of developing and regulating a capital market that is dynamic, fair, transparent, and efficient, to bolster investor confidence and contribute immeasurably to the nation’s economic development of the professional Board.
