Teenager accused of stealing commits suicide

 

Police authorities have commenced investigation into the circumstances that drove a 16-year-old teenager, Ayibanua Timipre, accused of stealing the sum of N27,000 (Twenty Seven Thousand Naira) into committing suicide in Bayelsa State.

Timpre’s neighbours, according to reports, found his corpse dangling on a ceiling fan in his father’s residence in Kpansia area of Bayelsa State and thereafter alerted police.

Dependable sources said the victim was a native of Igbomotoru Community in Southern Ijaw Local government Area, was found with a rope tied to a ceiling fan and his neck, without leaving behind any suicide note.

It was also stated that the victim was punished over the theft in his family’s home in connection with the theft, which was speculated to have driven him into despair and made him to take his own life to prove his innocence days later.

Timipre, was said to be pursuing a passion for mobile phone repair in Southern Ijaw Community in the State before the incident, which has sent shock waves down the spines of terrified onlookers.
