The federal government has apologized to Nigerians over his recent comments, urging Nigerians to switch off their Air conditioners and freezers when they are not at home in a bid to conserve energy.
Adelabu has been under severe criticisms by Nigerians since he had the flu dance sleep at a Press Conference held in Abuja where he defended the hike in electricity tariff for Band A customers nationwide.
Mr Adebayo Adelabu, the Minister of Power Bose to pressure when he featured on Thursday Channels Television Magazine programme tagged, “Politics Today”.
The Minister, “I agree with you that Nigerians are angry. They have become so touched. I don’t blame Nigerians because they have suffered energy poverty for so long. So, they are actually eager to see transformation in this sector”.
He said, “It was actually an innocent advice with regard to energy consumption management which we believe will help reduce energy bill”.
