Stolen vehicle from bank premises during naira scarcity riot recovered

Security agents have recovered two vehicles that that were reportedly stolen from access Bank premises on Textile Mill road, Egor Local Government Area of Edo State.

A Toyota Carina car and (spot Utility vehicle) with undisclosed Registration number, were stolen when hoodlums invaded the bank during naira scarcity against the redesigned notes by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) riot on Wednesday February 15, 2023.

Toyota Carina recovered at channel 55 in Upper Siluko area, while a (spot Utility vehicle) car was found in Igue Esogban village both in Ovia North East Local Government Area of the State.

TheNewspad had reported that four persons including a nursing mother were shot dead, while scores of protesters got injured in connection with the violent protests that ripped through Benin Metropolis and paralysed commercial activities.
