A rainstorm on Sunday wrecked havoc at Sango-Ota in Ogun State destroying many electrical poles and installation and other valuables, including vehicles.
No life was however lost during the heavy downpour that lasted for one hour, causing a damage of estimated N100 million.
Spokesperson for Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC), Busolami Tunwase, warned residents of the area to steer clear of electrical installations.
The spokesperson said power distribution company swiftly deployed its technical team to the area to remedy the situation.
“We are appealing to the public to steer clear of every electrical pole, wire and other electrical installation until we can clear everything off the road”, according to her.
TheNewspad reports that traffic on the busy road have been redirected to different directions and IBDC engineers have started removing the brokendown equipment.
