Poll: Edo APC hires 250 social Media influencers

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has engaged 250-man social Media influencers that would promote its gubernatorial Candidate in the September 21, 2024 Edo election, Sen. Monday Okpebholo and tackle online bees during campaign in the State.

Mr John Mayaki, a seasoned journalist will lead the pack of social/new Media, according to a statement by Emperor Jarrett Tenebe, Edo Chairman of APC on behalf of the Governorship Campaign late Wednesday June 5.

Also, former Governor of the State and Senator Representing Edo North, Senator Adams Oshiomhole as Chairman of Edo APC campaign while Senator Matthew Urhoghide was named the Campaign Council Director-General (DG), alongside Hon. Joe Ugheoke, who emerged Campaign Council Secretary.

Accordingly, the House of Representatives member, represent Akoko-Edo federal Constituency, Hon. Peter Akpatason was appointed as Deputy Director-General (DDG) of Operations.

A former Minister of Works, Mike Onolememen was appointed as Deputy Director-General (DDG) of Administration, according to the statement.

Similarly, Chief Lucky Imasuen, Hon. Odi Okogie, Hon. Abu Lawani have been designated as Coordinators for Edo South, Edo Central, and Edo North, respectively.

Barr. Bisi Idaomi as Director of Administration, Hon. John Osakue as Director of Operations, and Hon. Samson Osagie were shortlisted as Director of Contacts for the Council.

Dr. Ernest Umakhihe will oversee financial matters as Director of Finance, while Hon. Orobosa Omo Ojo, former State Commissioner from r Arts and Culture, will serve as Director Publicity along with Mr Kazeem Afegbua, take charge of Media Relations.

Others are Theophilus Okoh was named as Director of Groups, alongside Hon. Patrick Obahiagbon who will serve as Director of Logistics.

Besides, Hon. Razak Bello-Osagie will oversee Events and Venues, while Dr. West Idahosa will act as Director of Legal Affairs.

He was paired with Hon. Patrick Ikhariale will lead mobilization efforts, and General Alfred Ilogho will be responsible for conventional security.

Hon. Francis Okoyo is expected to Direct Diaspora while Engr. Gideon Ikhine emerged as Director of Strategy.

Hon. Itohan Edokpolor is the Director of Women and Market Traders, while Dr. Elizabeth Ebosele is Director of Professionals.

In a similar vein, Hon. Rich Lamai was named Director of Civil Society, while Hon. Joe Ikpea will Direct Artisans during the campaign after the inauguration date which is yet to be announced.
