Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) on Federal College of Education Road in Kontagora, Niger State was razed at the weekend by hoodlums who also looted valuables from the worship centre.
Aisha Wakaso, the Special Adviser on Print Media, Governor Mohammed Bago confirmed the incident in Sunday in a statement.
The statement also condemned the attack on the parish popularly referred to as Champion Zonal Headquarters.
A combined team of armed security agents have been mobilized to the area to prevent further breakdown of law and order.
Source said the General overseer of the Pentecostal church, Pastor Enoch Adegboye has been briefed about the unfortunate incident.
Netizens on social Media have condemned the attack on the church.
