OBJ, Atiku, Obi, others, Jega storm Tambuwal’s Colloquium to discuss future of democracy

Former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, former national Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Professor Attahiru Jega

and some key figures in the opposition Coalition, including former Vice President, Abubakar Atiku, and Peter Obi, have converged on the New Event Hall, Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, for the Tambuwal Colloquium —Leadership, Service of former Sokoto State Governor, Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal who recently turned 60.

The theme of the Colloquium, which will feature notable speakers, including former President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and Jega, is; “The future of democracy”, according to it’s organizers, is centre around discussions on leadership, development, unity and equitable distribution of wealth and governance.

Former Governor of River State, Rotimi Amaechi, and others also joined Abubakar — one of the founding fathers of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, shared photographs of notable personalities behind the Colloquium on social media at the event on Saturday, January 10.

The Colloquium is holding at a time when Nigeria’s ruling party – The All Progressives Congress, APC is controlling 30 States, amid rumours of merger talks by leaders of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and the New Nigeria’s Peoples Party, NNPP led by Musa Rabiu Kwankwaso to takeover the leadership of Nigeria in 2027 polls.
