‘Obedient movement’ will bounce back — Obi assures Nigerians

The presidential Candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 election, Peter Obi has assured Nigerians and his supporters that the ‘Obedient movement will bounce back.

He said this at a Media briefing while reacting to Supreme Court judgement that affirmed election of President Bola Tinubu on Monday in Abuja where he alleged that the apex Court judgement undermined Nigerians trust in the judiciary.

The LP Candidate urged his supporters not to bulge in the face of threats and intimidation, noting that the Supreme Court sacrificed justice for political expediency.

Obi criticised the judiciary, Oba called for improved funding of the third arm of government, strengthening Nigeria rule of law, noting that Nigeria, ‘cannot continue to outsource its leadership’.

He said, “I assure you that in the coming months, we will make the party stronger. We will build it. We will re-energize young people. We will make sure that everybody is carried along to our destination.

“We are committed to LP, and the Obedient movement. And everybody will come out of this better, strong and commuted to a new Nigeria where things would be done properly”, he said.

“Who knows tomorrow? You cannot predict tomorrow?”, Obi asked.

He also proposed parliamentary system of government for a single 5-year tenure, noting that the leadership of his party has no regret for its actions and inactions.
