Nnamdi Kanu lawyer, 11 others sent to Kuje prison, Sowore alleges

A Kuje Area Magistrate court has allegedly remanded
12 #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protesters, including one of the Counsels to Aloy Ejimakor to the Nigerian Correctional Service Custodial Centre, Abuja.

Recall that the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB leader is being prosecuted by the Department of State Security Service, DSS on a seven count charge, bothering on his alleged involvement in terrorism activities after he was re-arrested in Kenya and subsequently extradited to Nigeria in June 2021.

The accused persons were arrested and detained by armed police operatives while enforcing a restraining court order barring the peaceful protest on Monday.

Human rights activist and Publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore confirmed the arrest of the accused persons on Tuesday via his Facebook account.

He wrote: “I just learned that illegal IGP Kayode Egbetokun has sent Nnamdi Kanu’s brother and lawyer, Aloy Ejimakor, and 11 others all the way to Kuje Magistrate Court to get them remanded in prison at all costs. #FreeNnamdiKanuNow”.
