Group highlights Oba of Benin achievements at 9th Coronation anniversary celebration

A civic advocacy group,
Aiguobasinmwin movement worldwide felicitates Omo N’ Oba N’ Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II, CFR, Oba of Benin on the occasion of his Birthday and 9th Coronation anniversary celebration on the Benin throne of his forebears.

President and Assistant Secretary-General of the group, Iyamu Osaro Culture and Ewere Uhunoma in their congratulatory message, described Oba Ewuare as “a fearless and progressive first class King who has championed cultural revival, preservation, and administrative reforms, as well as social justice”.

The revealed notable achievements of Oba Ewuare include: successful negotiation of the return of looted Benin Bronzes from institutions such as the University of Aberdeen, Jesus College, Cambridge, Netherlands and others during his reign on the throne as the 40th Oba of Benin.

The statement extolled the virtues of Oba Ewuare II and policy decision that dismantle the network of prostitution and human trafficking in persons.at the global scale with the support of Nigeria and State governments.

The group stated that it will continually identify with the God-King over the low hanging fruits of mediation and interventions in cultural Renaissance and peace building drives across several strata of life in Edo State, Nigeria and in the diaspora with remarkable proofs.
