Niger gov kneels to greet Tinubu amid online buzz

Governor Mohammed Umar Bago of Niger State kneeling to greet President Bola Tinubu has become a buzzing bridge on social Media.

50-year-old Bago’s made history at the Villa on Thursday March 7, 2024, becoming the latest Governor who knelt to greet 72-year-old Nigeria’s President.

Bago was at the Villa, to invite President Tinubu to flag-off agro-development project on Monday March 11, 2024 in Niger State.

Also, Governor Ahmed Usman Adodo of Kogi State governor, was kneeling to greet the President, following his electoral victory on Thursday March 7, at the Villa in a viral video.

Abdullbergy Usman Ebbo, the special adviser on digital Communications to Bago in a post published on X, said Tinubu will be welcomed to Niger on Monday March 11, 2024.

Ebbo said President Tinubu will launch machinery for large-scale agro-value chain development in the State.

He explained that Niger is the “pilot state for the Renewed Hope Agenda on Food Security and Agricultural Mechanization in this administration”.

Anxiety hung in air by Nigerians when Mr Nasir El-Rufa’i during his tenure as Governor of Kaduna State, knelt Muhammadu Buhari during one of his visits to see the President at Aso Villa.
