The Nigeria police Command in Delta State has taken a murder suspect, Kelechi Okeke into custody for alleged its murder of his girlfriend, Olumma Chizoba Lucy at Ughelli North LGA of the State.
29-year-old, victim of domestic violence was said to have demanded her N35,000 she authorized her client to pay into her lover (Okeke) Bank Account by a client who bought goods from her after the victim discovered that she had issues with her Bank Account.
It was gathered that a heated argument between them days after after the deposit had been made, following the alleged refusal of Okeke to give the N35, 000 to his girlfriend, resulting in tragedy.
Investigation revealed that Lucy had complained of chest pain arising from the punches before she eventually passed at undisclosed hospital.
TheNewspad reports that concerned neighbours raised the alarm that led to the arrest of Okeke by security agents after a failed attempt to conceal the crime.
The spokesman of the Nigeria police Command in Delta State, SP Bright Edafe, could not be reached immediately for comments at the time of filing this report.
