A machete-wielding man has brutalized a farmer, in Idunmwun-Ugha Community, Uhunmwode Local Government Area of Edo State, leaving him with life-threatening injury.
The victim identified only as Mr Osayi, was said to have accosted the yet-to-be named aggressive attacker, seen as mentally-deranged man for harvesting a bunch of plantain in his farm without his approval.
A community source told TheNewspad reporter that the victim has been hospitalized while police operatives in the area have been briefed about the incident that has left residents of the Community in shock.
Idunmwun-Ugha elder statesman who craved for anonymity said, “Osayi is responding to treatment at an undisclosed medical facility in Benin after he was administered 3 pants of blood”.
