Journalist writes Oborevwori over oil revenue expenditures

 

 

An Abuja based journalist, Bob Etemiku has sought information on how the 13 percent share from Nigeria crude oil benefits allocated to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori-led Delta State government are being spent in the State.

Pursuant to stipulations under Sections 2 and 4 of the Freedom of Information Act, 2011, Etemiku’s request was conveyed in a letter dated April 2, 2025 and addressed to Governor Sherrif Oborevwori, the Executive Governor in Asaba, Delta State through Mr Charles Ehiedu Aniagwu, Delta State Works and Information Commissioner.

Part of the letter reads, “We write to apply to your excellency sir to kindly avail us information
regarding the actual funds so far received under the 13% Derivation allocated to Delta State and a breakdown on how those funds are being spent by your administration”.

He said, “Kindly do make the said information available to us, within stipulated time under
the Act cited above, and in agreeable format either to our emails, majirioghene@yahoo.com, majirioghene@gmail.com, or to our regular address as printed on this request for information”, he said.
