Enugu security agent, suspected informant killed, 4 others abducted

Suspected gunmen have reportedly kidnapped four  persons in Agu Ibagwa in Nsukka Council Area of Enugu State.

A source from the Community, said the gunmen, invaded the Community through Agu Ibagwa route at about 10:30p.m on Saturday night and kidnapped four persons. 

The gunmen also killed two persons, including a security agent who went for a rescue mission and a yet-to-be identified woman whom the hoodlums suspected alerted the security to thwart the operation.

It was learnt that the gunmen carried out their operation unhindered and thereafter escaped through the same Agu Ibagwa.

The absence of security personnel since the incident has sent jitters down the spines of local residents of the locality.

Some of the rural dwellers, according to investigation have deserted their homes for fear of another attack.

As at the time of filing this report, the kidnappers are yet to contact the families of the hostages.

The spokesman of the Nigeria Police Command in Enugu State, DSP Daniel Ndukwe has yet to take his calls from our Correspondent for comments on the incident.
