Former deputy governor of Edo State, Comrade Philip Shaibu’s son has graduated from a Canadian University.
The historic milestone has earned him a place in the elite club of Nigerian politicians whose children acquired tertiary education in Europe and America.
Photographs of the graduation celebration with Shaibu, the Director-General of the Nigerian Institute for sports with his wife, Marian, has drawn reactions amongst Nigerians in social media Community.
TheNewspad recalls: Few years ago, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, attended his son’s Master’s graduation at King’s College London, UK.
Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu’s son also graduated from the University of Surrey in addition to Bukola Saraki: Former Senate President whose daughter Teniayo graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Alhaji Atiku Abubakar: Former Vice President who has celebrated the overseas graduations of his children on multiple occasions.
Also not left out, is Dave Umahi: The Current Minister of Works whose son graduated with a Civil Engineering degree from the University of Surrey.
