Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has offered automatic appointment to 30-year-old snacks hawker, Oluwatosin Adejumo as the State’s Government House Chef, marking a tunning point in her life, four years after losing her mother.
The destiny-changing moment of the graduate of Economics and holds a Certificate in Education, happened during a solidarity rally by Osun State Government workers rally in Osogbo, the State Capital on Wednesday.

Oluwatosin was left with determination, was chanting imole, Imole (4+4) campaign symbol, while selling her snacks popularly known in local parlace as ‘puff puff’ to some workers, which caught the Governor attention and bought over her snacks.
Pleased by Oluwatosin’s resilience, smile and passion, the Governor gave her the sum of N50,000 in cash and invited her into his vehicle where inquired from her if she is a graduate and announced her appointment as Osun State Government House chef on-the-spot, thereby stunning residents and workers.
The Commissioner for Government House and Protocol, Soji Ajeregbe who confirmed the development, stated that “Oluwatosin’s appointment letter had been prepared and all documents perfected”.
Relaying her testimony to newsmen, Oluwatosin recalled, “after I graduated, I lost my mum. I was unable to further my education. I met another woman, Mrs Fumilayo Grace Ajakaye, she is a caterer.
“Whenever she is going to work, I followed her. From there, gradually, In gathered some money to start up a business of puff puff. And with the help of my sympathetic people, they gave me a baking ingredients on credit. After preparing and selling, I will return the money to them (creditors)
“When I was selling my puff puff, everybody was rejoicing with him. I was also there rejoicing with him — chanting imole, Imole (4+4) symbol in the crowd.
“The Governor, sighted me and called me. He asked me how much is the worth of my puff puff. And I him N50,000 in cash. After that he (Adeleke) asked me to come inside.
“He (Governor Ademola Adeleke) asked me how much is the worth of my puff puff. And I him N50,000 in cash. After that he (Adeleke) asked me to come into his vehicle at the rally”.
“When I got into his vehicle, Adeleke asked me if I was a graduate, I answered yes! He expressed shocked and said, ‘you are a graduate, yet you are selling puff puff?’; I said yes sir. From that moment, he handed me over to the Commissioner for Government House Affairs Protocol”, Oluwatosin said.
Continuing, she said, “They (Nigerians) have been saying that our Governor Ademola Adeleke is a good person and his family, he truly proved it for me. And I really thank our Governor. God will continue to bless him”, according to Oluwatosin.
TheNewspad reports that Governor Adeleke, is seeking second term election, which is billed to hold August 8, 2026, according to the timetable released by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
