Zenith Bank pledges N500,000 reward to best students of Edo varsity

Zenith Bank Plc has approved financial reward to outstanding graduating students in all Departments in the Faculty of Management and Social Sciences of Edo State University, Iyamho in Edo State.

 

The Award of Excellence Initiative, a merit-based programme across Accounting, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Economics, Sociology and Entrepreneurship, was established to recognise and reward outstanding graduating students, according to the joint partnership deal.

 

Spokesman of Edo State University, Iyamho, Kelly Quincy Amaechi, conveyed the decision in a statement on Wednesday.

 

He disclosed that the initiative is designed to promote academic excellence and encourage a culture of hard work, innovation, and leadership among students of the school.

 

Accordingly, “students with the highest Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) in the following six (6) Departments will each receive a cash prize of Five Hundred Thousand Naira (N500,000.00) during the University’s Convocation Ceremony”.

 

The spokesman said the Award of Excellence Initiative is expected to run for five consecutive sessions in the Edo State-owned institution.

 

“This partnership reflects the shared commitment of Edo State University, Iyamho, and Zenith Bank Plc to promote academic excellence, and prepare graduates for leadership and professional success.

Edo State University, Iyamho, thanks Zenith Bank Plc for its commitment to this initiative”, he said.
