The federal government is reviewing police salary structures, allowances, insurance, and pensions to address longstanding welfare issues.
Led by Ministry of Police Affairs Permanent Secretary Dr. Anuma Ogbonnaya Nlia, the committee aims to align compensation with current economic realities.
Key priorities include settling pension arrears, death benefits, insurance claims, and establishing a sustainable housing support framework.
The committee plans to harmonize financial structures, explore alternative funding, and review a finalized schedule from the technical team.
