Omo N’ Oba N’ Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II, Oba of Benin has expressed his support to road infrastructure development of Governor Monday Okpebholo in Edo State.
He made the assertion when the State Commissioner for the Ministry of Art, Culture and Creative Economy, Chris Okaeben and his management team visited the Oba of Benin Palace in Benin City.
The Royal personage, assured that the road infrastructure development will stimulate economic growth and enhance the well-being of Nigerians.
He urged the Governor to strengthen social cohesion and provide governance that will impact the lives of Edo people, despite deliberate criticisms by some individuals.
Oba Ewuare said, “we heard what happened. We thank almighty God and our ancestors who heard our prayers and remember you” in response to renewed call for the preservation of Edo heritage sites”.
“We haven’t seen overhead bridge before in Edo. But it’s his tenure that we are seeing this kind. Some people deliberately criticize the Governor”, the first Class traditional ruler stated.
Briefing the Palace, Chris Okaeben recalled his long-standing relationship with Benin Royal family and solicited prayers at the palace, where Chief Agbonavbare Egharevba — Toghobaghase of Benin also offered prayer.
