Police parade 124 suspected cultists in Edo

The Nigeria police Command in Edo State has paraded 124 suspected cultists linked to cult-related violence amongst cult groups and recent deaths in some part of the State.

The Commissioner of Police in Edo State,
CP Monday Agbonika in the State, disclosed this while parading the suspects at the Command’s headquarters in Benin City, the State Capital.

He revealed that some of the suspects were raided in their houses and profiled by the law enforcement agency.

The police boss stated that many of whom have confessed to belonging to proscribed confraternities such as the Maphites, Ayes, NBM, Jurists Confraternity and Eiye.

CP Agbonika who also highlighted other significant milestones recorded by the Command in the past few weeks, including arrest of robbery suspects, kidnappers and other criminals as well as recovery of arms.

He further assured that Edo State remains safe under his watch of security agencies and solicited the cooperation of residents of the State in curbing crimes and prevention in the State.
